First part

The awakening.

The scene occurs in the Mediterranean Sea, somewhere between two continents.

Yaëlle is the only character, while David still lives inside her dreamy souvenirs.

-

Her eyes filled with salty water as she started to perceive reality again.

Lost somehow in the middle of her own space but with a clear mind.

It felt like there was a specific reason why she found herself there.

-

The tears dropped by; they were red.

Her hands were also covered with blood, even though the waves kept washing the color out.

-

Memories of the past, David speaking :

- Yaelle, only go if you want to. I just wanted to let you know that you don't need to. Please forgive me, but I can't follow.

-

The voices of the ground: "Wake up,

Don't take too long,

Remember his name."

-

She was trying to move her body and couldn't help but express her pain with a yell, a yell that could make anyone fear and wonder what was going on.

But no one was near.

Time no longer made sense. She closed her eyes, breathed smoothly, and fell asleep again.

She was just back on earth.

-

The voices of the ground (once more): "Wake up,

Wake up, please don't take long,

Remember us".

-

The second part is the encounter.

Yaëlle and Ulysses, as main characters.

-

It wasn't the most remarkable story.

Extreme fanatics made what no one could imagine in just one night, with the intention of punishment.

A case where there was no wrongdoing, only a symbol of liberation.

Raped, beaten, and humiliated, she had to come back to earth, not only for her own sake but to keep pursuing that path that intended to light her world and the world of those who aimed for an unorthodox full of freedom life.

There was no need for vengeance, no revenge; this was just an awakening story that was about to begin.

-

Ulysses;

He was walking through the sand when he noticed her.

At first, he thought it was some waste accumulation lying at the ocean's edge.

-

He had never witnessed such a scene before and did not know how to react.

He was there to clean the sea, not to get into a situation where someone's life might depend on him. His diverse responsibilities were already heavy enough, and such a wicked reality was not at the right time.

He was not a hero but a simple human with skin and bones.

-

The sand was red as her dropping blood fueled it every second that followed.

It was ground-shaking to see such a beautiful mess, and it was heartbreaking to witness such intense cruelty expressed by the reality he was facing while seeing her lying down unconscious and solid, like a grave rock.

His first reaction, after handling the panic he felt when he realized that it was a human body, was to come and shake her shoulders, then to make sure she was breathing.

His hands were red-covered, so was his heart, and so was how he looked at them two now.

He had no technological instruments for his frequent morning silent walks, so he had no other option than to grab her and take her to his local shelter, where he would call the ambulance after.

-

The wait wasn't long, but enough to make him realize that he was stepping into a level he had no idea about and didn't expect.

-

It was strange to see her. Her appearance wasn't at her best, but her face looked familiar. He thought he might have seen her somewhere before.

This was the reason why he could understand why he was feeling so overwhelmed by seeing her, even if, at that instance, she was a stranger to him.

At that exact moment, she opened her eyes, and a strange connection was established between both of them, but just before he intended to make deeper contact, she fainted away.
